More than 8,000 people did the Big Blue Test in 2011. This resulted in a total donation of $75,000 from Roche Diabetes Care to support 5 nonprofit groups that work in regions with a high incidence of diabetes in the US, and the work of Life for a Child in Latin America.

One of these groups was the Moundville Medical Clinic, near Tuscaloosa, Alabama, c/o Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. They received a $10,000 Big Blue Test grant.
