CHICKEN LIVER DRY TREATS are a nutritious treat you can use for training or rewards. Chicken livers are full of vitamins and contain high levels of Omega 3. Great for your pups coat health and also eases arthritis symptoms in older dogs. Treats are preservative free when made at home!
TOOLS:
Baking paper lined oven tray (with sides)
Cooling Rack
Sharp knife
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 pound chicken livers (organic liver preferred)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 145° F/62deg C
2. Line a sheet pan (with sides) with parchment paper.
3. Cut chicken liver into strips about 1/2 inch thick.
4. Space pieces of liver on sheet pan about ½" apart
5. Bake for 8-10 hours, rotating strips every 10 mins for the first hour.
6. Then turn again half way through cooking time.
7. Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
8. Lift the parchment paper off the sheet pan and place on the wire rack to allow the liver training treats to cool completely and dry out.
Storing & Yield - These liver dog treats will last for two weeks in the refrigerator. You can freeze them for four months.
