A person suffers from hypertension when their blood pressure reading is 140/90 mm Hg or higher. If not treated, high blood pressure can cause heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure.

Sometimes, home remedies may be enough to restore blood pressure to normal levels, but if your doctor has prescribed medication to control blood pressure, it is important to follow the treatment to the letter. However, this does not mean you cannot try other alternatives.

1.- Take three times a day a glass of garlic decoction.

6.- Boil 2 orange tree leaves and 2 soursop leaves in a pint of water for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Drink this tea twice a day.

7.- Place a small chopped onion, 7 peeled garlic cloves and the juice of one lemon. Add water to cover the ingredients and leave them overnight. Strain and drink on an empty stomach for 9 days.

8.- Massage slowly and in a circular motion, the chest with 7 to 10 drops of essential oil of lavender and marjoram with 20 ml (0.7 fl oz) of jojoba oil.

9.- Wash and chop 3 stalks of celery and place them in a blender with a little water. Blend for a few moments. Drink a glass of this juice every day.

10.- Wash, remove seeds and peels of 15 large grapes. Extract their juice and mix with half a glass of water. Take as breakfast for 10 days.
